Admission - Process

Admissions & Withdrawals

Admission applications must be submitted using the prescribed form by parents or legal guardians.

Guardians are responsible for the student’s conduct, punctuality, attendance, academic progress, and fee payments.

Application forms are available at the school office.

Admissions (for Classes I to IX) are based on the performance in the Entrance Examination.

First-time admissions must include:

Official Birth Certificate

Community Certificate (mandatory for categories other than FC)

Students transferring from another school must submit a Transfer Certificate from the previous institution.

For withdrawals, a written request for a Transfer Certificate must be submitted to the Principal.

Transfer Certificates (TC) will be issued within a week from the date of the request submission.

LKG Admission Guidelines

A child seeking admission to LKG must have completed 3 years on or before 31st May.

Parents must submit the following documents at the time of admission:

Original & Photocopy of Birth Certificate

Community Certificate (if applicable)

Admission will be confirmed only upon verification of documents.

Admissions Process (Classes I to IX & Higher Secondary)

Classes I to IX:

Admissions are based on the performance in the Entrance Exam.

Selected candidates must submit the following documents:

Transfer Certificate (T.C.)

Aadhar Card (Photocopy)

EMIS Number

Photocopy of latest Report Card

Fee payment must be done within 2 days of result declaration.

Failure to pay within the deadline will result in the seat being offered to the next eligible candidate.

Higher Secondary First Year (+1):

Registration for +1 admissions begins on February 1st every year.

Admissions commence on the day of SSLC results declaration.

👞 1 Pair of Black Shoes with 2 Pairs of Socks (with school name)

Examinations & Assessments

Our School follows a structured and comprehensive evaluation system aligned with the Tamil Nadu State Board norms. Student progress is assessed continuously to ensure academic excellence and conceptual understanding.

LEAD curriculum for Classes I–V with ELGA program is followed to develop language and understanding.

Mid Term Assessments are conducted in July, November & February.

Term Assessments are conducted in September, December & March. Regular DRT, OBT, class tests, assignments, lab sessions and projects form a part of internal assessment.

Promotion to next classes is based on overall annual performance.

Retests are not encouraged if not for approved medical or genuine reasons.

Exam schedules and results are notified via the school tool Neverskip and circular.

Attendance Guidelines

Regular attendance is essential for academics, discipline and achievement.

Parents must inform the school before 9:30 a.m. in case of student absence for any unforeseen circumstances.

A written leave letter is compulsory for all kinds of absence.

A medical certificate is required for leave exceeding three days.

Leave during exams, reopening day, the last working day of each term or leave before holidays is not encouraged.

Prolonged unexplained absence may lead to cancellation of admission.

Promotion Policy

Promotion is based on the student’s academic performance, attendance and overall conduct.

Passing minimum benchmarks in the annual exam is mandatory.

Satisfactory submission of classwork, homework, assignments and project work is expected from the students.

Minimum 85% attendance is the requirement to be eligible for promotion.

Decisions taken by the academic committee will be final and binding.

A student who fails in term I and term II exams will have to join the school hostel.

Discipline Guidelines

At Sri Vijay Vidyalaya, discipline reflects respect, responsibility and integrity.

Students are expected to maintain decorum within and outside the school premises.

Respectful behaviour towards teachers and peers is a must.

Strict no-tolerance policy for bullying, misconduct or malpractice of any kind is in effect.

Damage to school property will lead to enquiry and suspension.

Use of mobile phones, gadgets, smart watches and fancy accessories is restricted.

Corporal punishment is strictly prohibited, positive discipline and counselling are followed.

Repeated offences may result in suspension or expulsion based on disciplinary review.

Uniform Guidelines

Uniforms promote equality, focus and pride.

Students must wear the prescribed school uniform according to the given pattern on all working days.

Uniform must be clean, ironed and presentable.

Hair must be neatly cut and combed; no colouring or fancy styling of hair.

Nails must be trimmed; makeup, tattoos or nail paint are not allowed.

Gold ornaments other than simple studs for girls, is strictly prohibited.

Students without proper uniform will not be permitted to attend the class.

Parent-Teacher Open Discussion Meeting (PTODM)

Parent cooperation is essential to student progress.

PTODM serves as a platform to discuss academic performance, behaviour, attendance and improvement strategies.

Conducted after every major assessment exam.

Parents must attend as notified through the school portal.

Term Fee dues, if any, must be cleared prior to PTODM attendance.

Constructive feedback and suggestions are welcome to enhance learning outcomes.

Admission – Scholarship Information

Scholarships are financial awards granted to support students in continuing their education.

Offered to meritorious students based on performance and eligibility criteria.

Criteria for scholarships reflect the values and goals of the institution or donor.

Scholarship funds do not require repayment.

The management of Sri Vijay Vidyalaya Group of Institutions (SVVGI) is actively considering scholarship implementation.

Decisions regarding scholarships are expected to be announced before the end of the academic year.
